About the company
Lely is an international family business in the agricultural sector, active in 45 countries with 2 factories, 3 R&D locations and 200 Lely Centers. Lely distinguishes itself through a strong innovative culture and unique sales arguments in the distribution chain of robotics and smart management systems for dairy farms.
Context and challenge
To support the distribution channel, Lely decided to implement an integrated, future-proof digital and technological solution that would strengthen their core business, sales and service. This system, known as the Compass program, was intended to improve efficiency in collaboration with customers and the Lely group.
Strategy and approach
To support Lely's growth objectives, we have designed and implemented a future-proof IT environment (FIT program). This included the migration of their ERP system to Infor M3, the selection of solutions for sales (Salesforce), service (IFS) and finance (MS Dynamics), and their implementation in Lely Centers. Our team led strategic project roles, managed programs and improved collaboration across the organization. This modernized the IT architecture and increased efficiency in the distribution chain.
The result
The result of our efforts for Lely was an improved IT environment that is fully integrated and future-proof. This ensured more efficient collaboration between Lely's head office, clusters and Lely Centers. The benefits included:
